DRAW Gallery opens its 2013 season on May 3rd with FLOWERS & DREAMS, a Spring Group Show. ...If you haven't been contacted yet and would like to participate in this group exhibit please give me a call.

In July we welcome Cat Thom's SPIRITS OF THE BACKYARD; August features Tamas Zalatnai and Colleen Clancy's PAPER and ANVIL; September we greet Amy Louise with OF NATURE and in December we celebrate LIVING PROOF, 2nd Annual Life Drawing Sketches Exhibit.

Mark your calendars for September 14 & 15th for the 1st Annual Alberni Valley Paint Out in conjunction with the International Plein Air Painters 12th Great Worldwide Paint Out. We hope for a big turnout for our 1st year and hope you will join us...more info to come.

Our little Gallery is beautifully situated in a 1926 House & Garden on the corner of Melrose Street & 8th Avenue. The Gallery is open for viewing on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 12 to 5pm, May through December.

Life Drawing 'Open Studio' continues to be offered every Tuesday & Wednesday for Adults and newly added are Monday Night's for Teens Only!

We introduce local and internationally renowned artists with exciting exhibitions and have a belief in assisting new emerging artists. Our services range from satellite venues, collection building and fine art rentals to installation, web developments, interviews, workshops and the business of art.

We welcome your visit and hope you come often to enjoy us online or on location.

“Cedar and Sawdust” April 12th to May 11th with artist Charlotte Bell. This solo art exhibit opens the doors of memory and imagination to explore years of working in, and observing, the coastal forest of British Columbia. It showcases a collection of soft acrylic paintings. Artist reception Saturday April 13th 1-3 pm.

Life Drawing

'Open Studio’ features live model figure drawing. Artists gather together to paint, sketch or sculpt from different live models. The models will provide a long pose, which will give participants time to complete their work.

'Open Studio’ takes place every Tuesday and Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The drop-in fee to participate is $12.50. Artists can also pre-register for five sessions for a fee of $50. Space is limited, so call and book early.

Newly added is TEEN NIGHT every Monday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Everyone is welcome from beginners to seasoned artists. In-class drawing supplies available. Personal sketch books and pencils for drawing suggested.

At DRAW, we’re all about contemporary fine art and creative ideas, so it’s no coincidence that our Newsletter is all about it too! With stories by our very own DRAWgal, we draw up from the well of painters, photographers, poets and other contributing authors.
