Dear Friends of the Arts,
On Friday July 4th from 6 - 8pm we greet Gordon James, Printmaker, Potter and Sculptor with Persons of Interest. This Exhibit will continue to July 26th.
Through the medium of Intaglio printmaking, Gordon James conducts a personal exploration of his relationship to all other beings he has encountered or imagined which are the most interesting and complex of forms and the basis of this exhibit.
His work speaks to the deep-seated need of our species to leave a visual record of ourselves, who we are and how we live.
A master of clay and ceramic sculpture, Gordon's prints using the intaglio process is a wonderful combination of craft and fine art that continues to fascinate and inspire him.
July 25th to August 4th. Everyone is invited to Port Alberni's Art Rave 2014 at the Historic Train Station at Kingsway Crossing. See more info below... Life Drawing 'Open Studio' sessions continues each week - Teen Night Monday's 6 to 8 pm and Adults meet every Tuesday & Wednesday 6 to 8 pm. Cost is $12.50. Space is limited. Contact us to reserve your spot if you are interested in participating!
'Gallery Beyond Walls' our Online Gallery is always open to view & shop and visit us on Location too!
Our little Gallery is beautifully situated in a 1926 House & Garden on the corner of Melrose Street & 8th Avenue. The Gallery is open for viewing on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 12 to 5 pm, May through December.
